Ecology: Woodlands

SCL has a long-standing involvement in woodland ecology, being experienced in a wide range of site survey methods and monitoring techniques in both native woodland and commercial forests.

The range of technical services we offer includes:

• Commercial assessments (e.g. stocking density, timber inventory)
• Native woodland assessment (e.g. structural inventory, regeneration, deadwood)
• Mammal impact assessment (browsing assessment, bark stripping assessment)
• Native woodland planning & delivery (soil surveys, woodland design, contractor overwatch)

Also of relevance is our range of Geomorphology services, which includes soil surveys and peat depth maps.
